Curriculum Overview

Phuti-Nare Secondary School offers a comprehensive and well-balanced curriculum designed to nurture intellectual, emotional, and social development. The curriculum spans two key phases of secondary education:

  • Senior Phase (Grades 8–9
  • Further Education and Training (FET) Phase (Grades 10–12)

Through these phases, Phuti-Nare equips learners with foundational knowledge, technical skills, and moral values essential for higher education, the workplace, and meaningful participation in society. The school’s teaching approach integrates academic learning with practical application, encouraging learners to connect classroom lessons with real-life experiences.

Senior Phase (Grades 8–9)

In the Senior Phase, learners build a strong academic foundation and begin exploring their interests through a range of core subjects. These include:

Further Education and Training (FET) Phase (Grades 10–12)

All assessments are conducted in accordance with the National Education Policy Act 27 of 1996, ensuring fairness, consistency, and national compliance. Learners are evaluated through a combination of formal and informal assessments, including tests, assignments, projects, and examinations.
